Safety is a Value

Idaho Power supports ITD’s SHIFT campaign, encouraging all Idahoans to be engaged drivers. Shifting to a culture of attentive, engaged driving will help keep us all safer on the roads.

At Idaho Power, we are committed to the safety of our employees, our customers and the communities we serve. In 2014, Idaho Power helped launched the Just Drive campaign to encourage others to be attentive and put down the phone. We are proud of our legacy as a leader in safety, and we hope other leaders in our community commit to putting safety first. For us, safety is more than just a requirement, it’s a value that drives the way we think and behave, helping ensure we look out for each other and our customers.

That’s why we’ve led the way with a firm rule requiring employees to put down hand-held cell phones and just drive. This rule also includes limiting distractions, holding each other accountable, and shifting our culture to one of attentive and engaged driving.
